Welcome to
Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge
There are loads of challenge blogs around, but, as far as I know, there is a gap that needs to be filled:
A challenge that is always about using
Patterned Papers on cards
Patterned Papers on cards
which is why I started
Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge
I don't know about you, but I have enough patterned papers
to keep me going for a very long time
so let's make sure we use plenty of them
so let's make sure we use plenty of them
You can leave a small border around your paper when you adhere it to the card blank if you wish, but only a small border! And your creation doesn't have to be a card, it can be any project as long as it is covered with patterned paper.
You will be able to enter as many times as you wish during the month and link with as many other challenges as allow you to do so.
As I have an abundance of patterned paper - 12 x 12, 8 x 8, 6 x 6, A4 - I'm giving a prize each month to the randomly chosen winner. I'm willing to post anywhere in the world, so that means that anyone can enter regardless of where you live.
This is the prize for this month's challenge:
A 6 x 6 paper pack collection from Memory Box called 'tinsel' - there are 3 sheets each of 10 patterns. I took the papers out of the pack so that you could see the various patterns - they will be sent to the winner in the original pack.
I hope you will join in again for the August challenge and that the news will spread even further so that others come and join us too.
If your cards happen to fit the theme for the week on my CHNC challenge blog, please feel free to add there as well and also for my CHNC challenge extra blog, which is always 'anything goes as long as it's Christmas.
My first card is one that I've made for today's Sweet pea stampers 'just because' challenge. I used Karen Middleton's Sweet Pea Stamps 'butterfly blue' rubber stamp (also available as a digi), coloured with spectrum noir, mounted on to a piece of matching card before mounting on to the background paper from a pad called' summer textures'. The flowers with brad are Panduro hobby, the sentiment circle from Craftwork Cards and the felt buttons from Poundland. As well as joining in this Patterned Paper challenge we would love to see you join in the Sweet pea stampers 'just because' challenge too. You can read more about my card here on My Crafty Outlook:
My second card is one of three design cards I've done for CCAYR August challenge: sparkle and glitter. The patterned paper was free with a magazine and I've used one of my favourite Christmas stamps Rubber Stampede Santa collage. We would love to see you joining in the CCAYR challenge if you make any Christmas cards with sparkle and glitter. You can read more about this card here on My Crafty Outlook:
