Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper July challenge

Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper July 2015 Challenge

A challenge that is always about using
Patterned Papers

I don't know about you, but I have enough patterned papers
to keep me going for a very long time -
so let's make sure we use plenty of them

From now on you may enter any creation on which patterned paper has been used - you are no longer required to completely cover the creation with patterned paper, as long as you use some on your creation, obviously the more, the better.

You may enter as many times as you wish during the month and link with as many other challenges as allow you to do so.

As I have an abundance of patterned paper - 12 x 12, 8 x 8, 6 x 6, A4 - I'm giving a prize each month to the randomly chosen winner. I'm willing to post anywhere in the world, so that means that anyone can enter regardless of where you live.

This is the prize for this month's challenge

Dovecraft Garden Party paper pack
6" x 6" - 72 sheet pack - 6 sheets of 12 designs

Please scroll down or click here to see the winner of Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper June challenge.
It's worth checking because it might be you!

I hope you will join in again for this new challenge and that the news will spread even further so that others come and join us too.

Introducing the Design Team

I am thrilled to say that eleven talented ladies invited to join me on the Design Team from July 2015 have accepted.

An introduction:

Carol (Cass)

G'day to everyone.  My name is Carol on the web known as Cass (childhood nickname).  I am a grandmother of 3, living in Melbourne, Australia.  Could say I have been crafting most of my life, Mum started teaching me cross stitch when I was about 4.

I try to create something each day, keeps me sane.  I sketch, make cards, altered art, art journaling, needlework etc.  Anything that takes my fancy, I don't have a particular style, but I prefer to keep my card designs simple and you will usually see some dimensional work on my projects.  All this in between working part time.  I have to say house work suffers a bit.

I count myself very lucky to have been chosen to work on several Design Teams.  Currently you will see my work on these challenge sites. Brown Sugar, Digitally Sweet, Robyn's Fetish and The Crafter's. I also design digitally for Retro Designs.

And now so very happy to let everyone know I will be designing for Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge

My blog is http://casscreatingnow.blogspot.com.au/  Drop by and say Hi!

Hi, my name is Diana and I'm 25 years old. I'm originally from Russia, but currently live in Slovenia with my wonderful husband and almost 1 year old son. I started making cards about 3 months ago and since then I've become totally addicted to this hobby. I like trying new techniques and learning new things about crafting. But the best thing about my passion is to be able to make unique things for my friends and family. I'm very proud being part of the Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper design team. I'm sure that being surrounded by such an amazing ladies will give me an opportunity to become better and better!

I live in Western Australia, I've been happily married since 1978, have two sons, one married, and twin grandchildren born in March 2013. I love all types of craft, from Cake Decorating to Decorative Painting; my current passion (since 2010!) is card making, which I do whenever I get a spare minute! I particularly love digi images, one reason is that they take up no space in my craft room - which leaves room for all that delicious patterned paper out there. I like colour and I'm not afraid to use it :-)  I'm very happy to be joining Hazel's fabulous Patterned Paper Challenge DT

Hi, its Elizabeth Hart and I would love to be on the design team. I just retired as a high school teacher and moved from Maryland to South Carolina. The movers finally arrived and all my craft items are finally together and a new creative room is being put together. So I am ready to create all day.

My name is Fikreta but friends call me Fiki. on the blog Im Bad kitty.
I'm from Bosnia, but I live in Croatia,Kalinovac
I'm married,( ok I will be 15.07.2015. after 13 years with my hubby Mario)
I'm 30 years old, have one daughter, and I have pets.
I LOVE cats !
I have three cats, turtle, bunny, guinea pig and the dog.
I'm animal lover.
Love anything crafty.
I start crafting before four years and blogging about three years ago.
If you ask me why I start to craft I think because so I don't go insane LOL !
I'm at home,I do not work, wife and mom so I must do something else.
I like to take pictures,especially my cat's.

'I'm Hazel, known in the crafting world as Craftyhazelnut. I live in Bromley, part of Greater London in the UK. I'm 67 and am married to John, who fully supports me in my obsession for accumulating (and using) crafting goodies. I've always been interested in crafting in one form or another; when I was younger I did a lot of knitting, embroidery, crocheting etc but over the past thirteen years or so have been more involved in papercrafting, particularly cardmaking, although I dabble in scrapbooking from time to time.

A year and a half ago I started Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper monthly challenge. I have been overwhelmed at the response and have now decided that I need a Design Team, so here we are!

I am married to my lovely hubby Bob and have two grown up son's who have given me 8 Grandchildren between them.
I love crafting especially card making & card models. I also like to dabble in scrapbooking and MDF.
I am on a couple of DT's and I love blogging and sharing what I make.

Hi, I'm Lynne and sew happy to be the newest addition to this amazing Design Team!. You can find me at Her Craftiness. I am the very proud grandma of 6 beautiful grandchildren ages 10 and under with the youngest just born in June! My home is found in Elizabeth, PA which is close to Pittsburgh in the United States! I love to create and have been creating since forever learning from my grandmother and aunt beginning with sewing, knitting, and crocheting. I started doll sculpting in 1991 after losing my youngest daughter and at which time also fell in love with making quilts as I had made a memory quilt with pieces of her dresses as my first project. It's only been since the last seven years or more that I started paper crafting with scrapbooking and making cards. I found that cardmaking is oh sew similar to quilting as I'm cutting larger pieces into smaller pieces to create one cohesive project!!! I love to be challenged along with making personalized cards not only for my family but my friends.

I have been paper crafting for about 15 years. I started making photo albums and created nearly 40 of them. I began making cards about ten years ago when I needed a card and couldn't get out to the store to buy one. I was hooked. I love making them.

I am a widow and retired so my time is my own. I retired from the legal field having been a paralegal and law office manager for more years than I can count. I live in Southern California, USA with my three cats. I am very active in my church and in a couple women only social groups. I have two daughters (whom I rarely see), a stepson and two step daughters. I am also grandma to eight and great-grandma to four. I am a voracious reader of mystery stories and spiritual books. I have a room dedicated to my crafts with built-in cupboards and desk. Over the past five years, I have been on various design teams. I am currently on The Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge and Tuesday Throwdown design teams.

Hi, my name is Pauline and I live in Hampshire with my wonderful husband and two gorgeous sons. One year my husband gave me a card making book for Christmas and my obsession was born. I started my blog in 2011 to share my cards and enter challenges, I have made lots of wonderful friends all over the world and joined numerous design teams. I am really excited to be joining Hazel's Patterned Paper challenge team.

I am happily married with two handsome sons, I am extremely proud of them both. We live in Wales and I'm very proud to say that my sons are fluent in Welsh although we speak English at home. I love card making. I started making cards when my eldest son started Welsh primary school, 14 years ago. We wanted to send Welsh cards but on the high street they are very limited and simple. My mother is known as Mam and Mam-gu so I make cards suitable for her as well as Diolch yn Fawr (Thank you) cards for Teachers. Most of my cards involve die cutting.

Although I have been card making for a long time I have only been blogging since January. I am looking forward to being part of the Design Team at Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper.

Hi, My name is Shirley, and Im a 72 year old wife and grandmother, Ive been papercrafting for about 9 years, but have always been into knitting, sewing embroidery, painting and drawing, anything I can get my hands on.
My husband whos now retired is long suffering man who fortunately encourages me in my craft and Im really grateful for that.
Im also on several Design Teams, ABC Challenges, Pink Gem Designs and I co-run The Paper Shelter Challenge.
I have three daughters, and two step daughters, and between my husband and I we have 10 grandchildren, 4 girls and 6 boys and 1 great grandson and a new one expected in September.
My eldest grandson is 35 and is in the RAF and Im so proud of him, hes married with one gorgeous little boy. Our other grandchildren range from 2 years upwards.
I also live in the Forest of Dean, Gloucester, its the most beautiful place and I love living here.
I sincerely hope you will enjoy looking at my attempts in craft making.
I should also explain the origin of my name Nannieflash, this is what my grandchildren call me for the obvious reason, Im forever taking photos of them, and now my step-daughter has been christened Mummyflash for the same reason

Design Team call

Design Team Call

This is now closed -- I will contact potential team members as soon as possible. Thank you to everyone who has entered - there are so many of you - you are giving me a difficult job to choose - I'm hoping to finish up with a team of 10.

When I started this challenge blog I had no idea how popular it would be - it amazed me right from the beginning and still thrills me to see so many people entering with their designs using patterned paper. I feel that the time has come to ask if anyone would like to work with me and form a Design Team.

If you would like to be considered to join the team, please leave your name in linky with a link to your blog.

The initial term would be for six months from July 2015, with a view to continuing after that if mutually agreed.

You would be expected to make one design each month - to be ready a day or too before the 1st of the month. You would be able to make anything as long as you have used patterned paper.

Those who join me would be expected to comment on allocated numbers of entries throughout the month. This is very important because at the moment I cover all the commenting myself which is a heavy load. But please be aware that if you join the team there will be quite a bit of commenting to do because there are always lots of entries.

This call will remain open until Sunday 14 June. The new team members will be notified as soon as possible after that date in order to give time to submit a design for 1 July 2015.

A DT blog will be set up for the team to place their designs for upcoming challenges and for any passing on of information etc. This will be on blogger.

If you have any queries, please email me: hazelharris@ntlworld.com

This will remain at the top of the blog until the close of the call on Sunday 14 June. Please scroll down or click here for the June challenge.

The linky in this post is only for those who wish to be considered for the Design Team. Please only enter here once.
