Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper June challenge

Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper June 2015 Challenge

A challenge that is always about using
Patterned Papers

Please note that there is a Design Team call here

I don't know about you, but I have enough patterned papers
to keep me going for a very long time -
so let's make sure we use plenty of them

A rule change came into effect last month - please read:

From now on you may enter any creation on which patterned paper has been used - you are no longer required to completely cover the creation with patterned paper, as long as you use some on your creation, obviously the more, the better.

You may enter as many times as you wish during the month and link with as many other challenges as allow you to do so.

As I have an abundance of patterned paper - 12 x 12, 8 x 8, 6 x 6, A4 - I'm giving a prize each month to the randomly chosen winner. I'm willing to post anywhere in the world, so that means that anyone can enter regardless of where you live.

This is the prize for this month's challenge

K & company Roam 6" x 6" paper pad
36 sheets - 3 sheets each of 12 designs

Please scroll down or click here to see the winner of Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper May challenge.
It's worth checking because it might be you!

I hope you will join in again for this new challenge and that the news will spread even further so that others come and join us too.

June 2015 challenge

If your cards happen to fit the theme for the week on my CHNC challenge blog, please feel free to add there as well and also for my CHNC challenge extra blog, which is always 'anything goes as long as it's Christmas.

Remember that for this Patterned Paper challenge
designs can be for any occasion

I had two of the K & Co Roam paper pads, so I made two cards using the same two stamps in different ways on two different pieces of paper from the pad.

The first card was created with one of these pieces of paper:

on to which I stamped the Stampington Company 'Leonardo' stamp inked with memento rich cocoa and also the Tim Holtz script stamp. I coloured with copic pens including some pale yelllow over the script - this looks much better irl than it does here.

For the second card I used this piece of paper from the K & Co Roam pad:

this time using the same two stamps, but inking with Brilliance pearlescent purple and sprinkling with pearl plum embossing powder and heating. I then swiped across with versamark and lightly brushed some  cosmic shimmer sunrise pink iridescent mica pigment over it, which I then buffed up with a tissue. In the process of rubbing the area I accidentally creased the paper in a few places. I ran it through my Xyron adhesive hoping that the creases would press out, but they didn't. In the end I thought it added to the vintage look of the card, so I decided to keep the creases! (instead of starting all over again, having spent quite a long time anyway).

June's challenge will end at 20:00 UK time 30 June. The randomly chosen winner will be announced at 23:00 UK time on 30 June and a new challenge will start at midnight on 1 July 2015.
